I have a question for those in the insurance field. What if I have a stable of cars, for example 2 members in household sharing 4 cars. Could one person have a primary+secondary and the other person, the same?
What about 5 cars between two people? Can I put more than 2 cars on theft only, and how will it cover other cars?
I suppose there are lots of people like that on the farm, just don't know how insurance treats them.
Thanks.

I think for 5 cars you can purchase fleet insurance for all 5 of them if I am not mistaken. What insurance place are you with as I'm with Industrial Alliance on my Mazda and it was the cheapest place by far for my Mazda 6 2010. Being 30, no accidents, no tickets, no demerit points and other places were freakin quoting me $1200-$1600 a year!
So much for good driving when even past 25 you get hit with BS while still have have to pay an arm and a leg and great credit._______________

If you have 4 cars and 2 drivers, each driver can have a primary and occasional. Or 1 driver can have a primary and 2 occasional, and the 2nd driver a primary.
If you have 5 you can do the same thing. Basically, as long as each driver has a primary it's fine._______________

My insurance company does not provide any sort of discount on multiple vehicles. For instance, if I pay $600/year for "vehicle one" and wish to insure "vehicle two" I still pay another $600/year for it. Even though I cannot physically drive two vehicles at a time, I still pay the full rate (minus any multi-vehicle discount, etc...) for the two vehicles. The logic behind this is that insurance follows the vehicle around and I could loan out the vehicle to someone so it's possible that both vehicles could be on the road at once.
