Use Goldline. https://shop.goldline.net/agent_access/rates.asp

If you live in Ontario, they have an access line with Farsi prompts. The owner and founder of the company left his home country after the '79 revolution with literally the shirt on his back and a suitcase and eventually settled in Canada.

Does his parents in Iran have broadband internet? What if they don't live in the city? The whole world is not like Ontario you know.

Sure, it could be that or a lot of other things. Just wondering.

Localphone.com if you have a smartphone then you can use their app too. No tax
For Iran, they charge Landlines 5.2¢
Mobiles 5.8¢

if you're calling from your cell in canada overseas then wind pay as you go only charges you 75 cents a minute. If you have world saver addon then it is 5 cents a minute but yeah if you're calling from iran, it's better to unlock your cell and get a local sim. Or switch to wifi and call using skype.
