Speaking of outage periods,
Rogers is quicker to give credits of a dollar here and there off the bill when they have to do work "in the area", temporarily shutting down internet access.
Bell on the other hand is heartless and could care less, with comments like "Oh it's only a few hours, hardly a full day..."

That is a very good point. When I was with Bhell Hell, every time there was a Thunderstorm I lost the TV and telephone. Of course I could not phone them as my phone was out as well.. I did ask before I went with Bhell Hell would I lose my picture? They emphatically said it would be fine. That was just the start of their lies. Lots of Bhell Hell employees are going around with very big noses. I was never reimbursed for any outages. My line was cut outside the house which took days to repair. Did they care? Of course not.

I've never had any problem with Bell's Traditional landline (it works even when power is out) any other phone service is just awful.
Rogers is best with cable because their internet can go out and cable still works.
Same with internet. Cable can go out while internet still works.
The same can NOT be said for Bell, which shares both Fibe TV and internet in one service, When their internet goes, the tv is also out.

All of the saved time from faster speeds will be more than wasted by the downtime from botched installs, and hours you spend arguing with indian cell centre employees over the constant billing errors and mysteriously rising bills.

Here's a tip, always press whatever number for 'french' and 99% of the time you'll get a hot sounding french lady who understands English perfectly and are more than willing to help! :)

This is a pretty good tip, however, I heard that Bell was trying to outsource to French Tunisia for their French line.

So here is a question, if you are already a Rogers customer how happy are you with service?
If it is good then I say keep it. If your having problems then it may be a good time to change.
#1 rogers is $5 cheaper per month.
#2 call them up and tell you are moving and see if they could offer you any discounts to keep their service. I'm sure you could get a $5 credit for a year. Just a suggestion. But most people are right, I don't think you will notice any difference between the two companies in terms of speed. Lastly Bell will increase your bill by $2 this year, then $3 next year and so on. I'm on the bell 25mb retention plan and they still jacked my bill up year after year.
