It's definetly fascinating technology, whether it be HD-DVD or Blu-Ray..However they r comparing it to the time Beta and VHS locked horns and eventually only one winner came out of it and that was VHS..I've got my money on Blu-Ray because they have much more backers with big names, but I will wait and c which won reigns supreme before I go ahead and by any of the new technology..Just my two cents![]()

What's interesting is that they were doing the old Beta/VHS comparison for DVD+R and DVD-R. We see how that played out. Though, I'm not holding my breath for a joint HD-DVD / Blu-Ray system.

Well, honestly, there's nothing really FASCINATING about Blu-Ray or HD.
It's basically 3rd Generation CD, eh?
I have a feeling since Sony is backing Blu-Ray, it's going to fail

I like Blu-Ray cos it has a cool name
(a little sarcasm there, but having said that, the words "blu-ray" do roll off the tongue better than HD-DVD, so my vote defintately goes for blu-ray).
