iOS discussion thread - iOS 11 released Sept 19th - iOS 11.1.2 out now

Apple’s iOS 10: the ‘mother of all iOS updates’

"The big unveil during Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference today in San Francisco was iOS 10, the next generation of Apple’s mobile operating system for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Dubbing it the “biggest iOS release ever,” Apple’s Senior VP of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, outlined ten major enhancements to a number of core iOS applications and APIs, beginning with a significantly redesigned user experience. iOS 10 redesigns the Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Control Center user interfaces, providing much richer notifications and enhanced support for 3D Touch for more comprehensive interaction with notifications."

The public beta will go live in July while the full and final version of iOS 10 will be available to everyone this fall.
Anyone installed the developers' beta?

I am very disappointed that they did not announce multi-user support (at least for iPad), which they already have in 9.3 for the education market (plus Android has it since Lollipop).
Amerifriend threads need to include instructions on how to acquire an amerifriend.

Everyone should have their own iPad. No need to share

Apple should just make it affordable for everyone

Can I expect iOS 10 to slow down my iPhones 5c & 5s to a crawl?

I'm still on 8.4. Is it worth upgrading on the 6?

Assuming you're still on 8.4 because you're jailbroken and want to keep the jailbreak, I would wait until iOS 10 is officially released before you decide to give up the JB for the latest iOS version. Furthermore, with an ios 9 exploit being released today, it could be used to create another jailbreak for iOS 9 before iOS 10 is released, so that could be another option for those who still wants to keep their jailbreak.

What iOS 9 exploit are you talking about?

I'm not even jailbroken (yeah i know, what a waste). Just curious if worth it because the last time I updated my 4S to 7.0, it was sluggish.

So far I love the changes they've done on iOS 10. Quite stable considering this is only in beta.

Edit. I take it back the battery drains like crazy lol. But it's expected I guess. Good thing this is not my main iPhone
