As of this morning we think it is that issue with the iPhone 6's motherboard. The initial IOS update was about 2 weeks ago and the phone did not misbehave until a couple of days ago. The phone will boot up once its' Lifeproof case is removed. It is well past its' warranty expiry.

No Apple store within an 8 hour drive. Local Apple agent doesn't even want to see it if it is past warranty.

Could very well be, iPhone 6’s can get Touch Disease, they have weak skeletons that are subject to bending and dislocating parts.

Isn't it a short two hour drive from Vancouver to Seattle?

There must be an Apple store there.

An earlier post of mine explained that the user is in Saskatchewan. Calgary is the nearest store - 8 hours drive. I have 6 Apple stores within 45 minutes of my home.

Thanks to all who responded to what I thought was an IOS 11 issue. I've hijacked this thread enough.

I only caught the end of the of the conversation. Didn't realise you were diagnosing someone else's phone.

Keyboard lag still not fixed with iOS 11.1 on my iPhone 6...Hopefully it will be with 11.2 but at this point I’m wondering if Apple even cares. Haven’t seen them acknowledge this issue...

Im still on iOS 10.3.3. SHould I upgrade to 11.1.1?
My battery life has progressively gotten worse over the last 6 months with each update, and I heard iOS 11 is even worse. I have an iPhone 6s.

iOS 11.1.2 Released
This update includes a fix for the issue that caused iPhone X displays to become temporarily unresponsive to touch after rapid temperature drops. It also addresses the issue that can potentially cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with the iPhone X.

What's in 11.1.2 for other iPhones besides the X?

Those are all the changes Apple has shared publicly for this update. Apple has not named any significant security updates in iOS 11.1.2; the company's support site currently says that this update has the security content of 11.1.1.
