Strange, I updated an iPhone 5 the day of the release and another iPhone 5 last night, both through iTunes.

I am waiting for the Over The Air (OTA) update. There must be a reason why it is not pushed out. Let them work out the bugs first. Beta testers are not the mass consumers. They're usually more tech savvy.

Apple iOS 10.3.2 Release Has A Nasty Surprise
https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkell ... rt-remove/
iOS 10.3.2 appears ready to cut off support for several iPhone models mid-cycle, the first time Apple has ever done this before a major version change.

The models in question are the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5C. The problem is they are both built on 32-bit architecture whereas iOS 10.3.2, after two beta releases, has only delivered support for 64-bit iOS devices. No previous iOS release (beta or otherwise) has skipped support for 32-bit, unless it was a dedicated bug fix for a single device.

But iOS 10.3.2 does not follow the path of limited releases like iOS 10.0.3 (which was iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus compatible only) and its betas are available for all other iOS 10-compatible devices which means the iPad Mini 2 and newer, iPod touch sixth generation and newer but only the iPhone 5S and newer.

For the record its release notes simply say it solves problems with third-party VPN apps and fixes SiriKit car commands.

iOS 10.3.2 arrives with nearly two dozen security fixes
Update has been in beta testing since late March, when iOS 10.3 was released.

https://arstechnica.com/apple/2017/05/i ... ity-fixes/
Apple has just released iOS 10.3.2 to the public, following around a month and a half of beta testing that began shortly after iOS 10.3 came out. It's available as an over-the-air update or through iTunes for any devices that run iOS 10: the iPhone 5 and newer, the fourth-generation iPad and newer, the iPad Mini 2 and newer, both iPad Pros, and the sixth-generation iPod Touch.

Like the intervening iOS 10.3.1 update, the release notes for 10.3.2 only say that it "includes bug fixes and improves the security of your iPhone or iPad," which suggests that the release is primarily focused on security updates.

According to Apple's security update page, it fixes quite a wide range of bugs that affect everything from the iPhone 5 on up: one in the AVEVideoEncoder, one in CoreAudio, two in iBooks, one in IOSurface, two in the kernel, one Notifications bug, one in Safari, four SQLite bugs, one TextInput problem, a whopping eight WebKit-related fixes that address an even larger number of vulnerabilities, and an update to the certificate trust policy. As with any update that fixes a large number of bugs, you should patch as soon as you can to prevent exploits of the now-public vulnerabilities.

iOS 11 developers preview out today, public beta out at the end of june, final version in fall
iOS 11 runs on all 64-bit iDevices but drops the iPhone 5 and 5C and iPad 4

iOS 11 will bring big updates to Siri, iMessages, Apple Pay, and more
iOS devices will look and feel a bit different when iOS 11 comes out.

I'm excited about p2p Apple Pay. It apparently supports all cards in your Apple wallet. Send money to a friend and collect credit card rewards?

It will probably be treated as a cash advance without a merchant ID
