[Staples] IPAD AIR $110 off with coupon at Staples

Received $40 of coupon this morning from Staples.

I used that with already discounted Ipad Air 32 GB, came out to 380.30 plus tax. I am assuming Ipad AIr 16 would be cheaper.

Altogether $110 off.

I didn't make it in time for IPad sale at target (offer was $120 in target gift cards), and then received the staples coupon in the mail. Thank goodness I didnt get it from Target, I don't have to think about how to use the gift card as I don't normally shop at Target. Difference of $10 , I am still a happy camper.

There were a few people getting the Ipad on sale without the coupon, it's sold out online. Good luck.

Please post all coupon requests/posting to staples-coupons-megathread-389024/

I agree with the OP that the Staples deal is not bad compared to Target's. But there's more to the comparison.

With 13% HST, the 32GB iPad Air comes to ~$430 at staples (after $40 off coupon).
If I were to use a Red Card (5% off), it would come to ~$405 at Target (after the $120 gift card).

So the absolute saving with Target is more like $25. However, if you do decide to return the iPad to Target, they WILL make you keep the cash card, and only refund you the difference. This is they policy as always. No way to get around that.

The $40 off coupon only works on items that are over $400 btw.

By the way, Staples also lowered the price of the iPad Air 2 to match BB/FS. That's $50 off, or $499.99 for the 16GB wifi model. The $40 coupon brings it down to $459.99, definitely the lowest price in Canada for the Air 2. In the US, the lowest I believe is $399.99. Not a huge difference after the exchange rate, but the HST makes the deal less hot.

I'm interested in the 16GB. Will this coupon work for it even though the price doesn't come to over 400 until after taxes?

Definitely yes. Since you just bought it today (after the sales start). I just did that myself. Although in my case, I simply forgot to apply the coupon at check out. It was too early. Fortunately the store wasn't too busy. They just helped me to do a return-and-buy right away.

It did flag my credit card as possible fraud activity. Had to use a different card.

AIR 2 seems like a better buy @ 460 with coupon, upgrades were fairly good

I am facing the same dilemma. Which is a better deal (both after coupon and HST)?

iPad Air (1) with 32GB for $430, or iPad Air 2 with 16GB for $520.

$90 difference...

No - total needs to be $400 before tax.

Probably Air 2 for the extra $90 and a year futureproof.

Just bought a Gold one with the $40 coupon.

Wish they dropped the price on the 64GB though.

Thank you. 60 off still a better option than Walmart's offering, if I'm not able to score one at Target later on in the day.
