iPad Pro Discussion

Who's getting one? What interest me is only the thin form, Pencil and OneNote (hopefully updated) app... The only thing Surface lacked was the light and thin form, which hopefully Surface 4 can amend

I'll stick with my Air2
It looks a bit excessive for my needs. Perhaps it'll be useful for those who can take advantage of the larger screen especially with split screen in iOS9

Space
I'm getting it for sure. The extra screen space is what I'm after.

Too big expensive for my preference and too big for my needs. Also heavy for an iPad and the accessories are expensive too.

I just bought our second iPad Air 2. I got one last year at launch at full price and then last week at the Best Buy iPad Air 2 sale got a second one for $100 off retail.

The iPad Air 2 sale is still on by the way.

EDIT

Note though:

iPad Pro has 4 GB RAM

I have a nice iPad Pro, it has a massive 15.4" screen, and even has an integrated keyboard and trackpad. Not sure why they called it a MacBook though.

I was thinking I could read the free magazines from the library without having to zoom and scroll to make the text large enough to see.

Then I realized I could buy an awful lot of magazine for the cost of an iPad :) .

Samsung already has tablet's larger than the iPad Air.

10" was too small for me as well, but Samsung solved that for me! I've been more than happy with the 12" Galaxy Note Pro for the past year-and-a-bit. :D

For an artist this is a no brainer, CAD price is gonna be a killer though.

no brainer?

not sure about that given it can only run ios apps.

cintiq systems for pros or surface pros with Wacom (sp2) or ntrig (sp3) and full adobe desktop suites

not to mention the Sp4 pen will have the same features the apple pencil does as ntrig owns the tilt detection patents etc.

I have a 6-core, 48GB RAM desktop with Intuos for stationery art, but for mobile the only app I use is Procreate and it works but iPad Air is a bit too small and the stylus selection got better but still cumbersome.
