Noticed the iPad Pro cellular doesn't support band 66 LTE

DISAPPOINTING. I hope this doesn't mean that new iPhone won't support Freedom's LTE
Does Freedom even offer a data only plan?

Are these in GTA Apple stores already? Debating whether to get the 10.5 or the 12.9 version. Anyone have a 12.9 and find it too big? My usage will be mainly email, surfing, iBooks, and logging into work using Citrix.

Also not sure about what keyboard to get (kind of disappointed that there isn't more choice)...

Excited to experiment with the pencil - I'm coming from an Air 2...

You need to get the official Apple iPad Smart Keyboard as that is the only one that works with the smart connector

I find the 12.9 too big, but it depends on you. I am currently using the 9.7" with the Smart Keyboard. I previously used the Air 2 and with a Bluetooth keyboard. The 9.7 Pro is definitely a better experience.

Thanks - I'm kind of thinking the 12.9 will be too big for me as well. I thought Logitech has a keyboard that uses the smart connector. Doesn't look as good as the Zagg ones I've used in the past, but I think it's the only other one that uses the smart connector...

Logitech has keyboards that utilize the 'smart connector'

Not sure if it's at the store yet, but you can always play with the 1st gen 12.9" at the Apple Store. AFAIK, the exterior of the 2nd generation is the same as the 1st. It's just the interior that's different.

I think it depends on how he's going to use the iPad. If he's going to be using it while standing, then yea, it'll be too big. If he's sitting down somewhere, it might just be ok. I think he should just go to the Apple Store and try it for himself.

Good point re the 12.9. Hopefully the 10.5 is there by the time I go in so I can really compare and contrast...

Does anyone know of the price drop of the older 9.7-in iPad Pro with the new iPad Pro releases? I don't mind the older generation if there is a lot of saving. Can't find any reduced pricing on Apple website.

9.7" iPad Pro was discontinued, you will not find it on Apple's website. Have you called the Apple Stores?

Apple's Refurbished section has the 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi 32GB for $619 but all colours are out of stock

What do you consider as a lot of savings?

Check your local Costco. It should be on clearance. Both 9.7 and 12.9 inch

9.7" 128g space grey $849.97
12.9" 128g space grey $999.97

According to iphoneincanada post

The different between the model appears to be only about $150 if you compare Costco Clearance and Apple new stock, but the new screen is well worth it in my opinion. When more apps can take advantage of this new refresh rate, I feel that this will be the next coolest thing.
