It looks like it's not really unlocked anyway. It's more of cloning your SIM to fool the iPhone.

I've just made some calls on Rogers and Fido with an iPhone unlocked with this method in less than 20 minutes, using existing Rogers and Fido SIMs from other phones. It works.

Yes, although I didn't want to spend too much time testing with GPRS due to the expense, so most of the internet connectivity I tested on WiFi.
