Have been bit busy trying to install ML10.8-GM
quick answers
1) UMB on Bell is like your home internet, not proxy
UMB on Petro has all internet traffic blocked, they must go through proxy server, ie: you can only connect to proxy server and nothing else (like Koodo EVDO)
That's why there is no more unlimited UMB (grandfathered) on Bell
2) guizmovpn - try using keys/cert instead of username and password.
ie: use key/cert to login, and don't use username and password at all.
(if you insist on using username and password, I don't know how to help you because I did not use this method)

I guess this was for me. I am going to get my iPhone unlocked and try this $10 package. Might work out to be perfect for my case.

I thought I read somewhere that only YouTube videos under 2 minutes will work with SO UMB. That true?

Why do you care uncompressed image so much, you can definitely tethering using your iphone, just it has to go through a proxy so your image will be compressed, which does not bother me a bit. Yes, I only know ebuddy works. Not sure about others, maybe google+, I didn't try it.

Now I wish I bought ipad 4g instead wifi version instead, with wind coming to Kingston, I now need two phones to take advantage of both this and wind's unlimited incoming calls, if I had a 4g ipad, I could just use this UMB on ipad instead, lol:

I'm on Speakout on an iphone 3gs. For the past few weeks, my 3G keeps dropping. Anyone have any issues with the network? It seems like I get 3G in certain places, and in others (like my desk) I no longer have a cell signal. Trying to figure out if it's my phone or network...

You will need to change to another phone to test. My phone falls back to 2g at some places in my apartment, some times no signal at all, but I know it is not a speakout problem, as rogers prepaid has the same behaviour, so more like a rogers network problem. But for your own issue with 3gs, you may need to change a phone to try it.

I've been able to switch my Rogers locked iPhone 4s to petro mobility and get UMB working but not being able to use iMessage is kind of killing it. Is there a work around? Everytime I send a message through iMessage it stalls
