why not just carry around a car battery and hook it up?
seriously though, it does look a little clumsy and big, but the price is decent.

I highly doubt it meets safety standards. The ce mark is probably counterfeit.

This conclusion is based on what? Monoprice.com is a very reputable e-tailer.
So all battery backup packs are not recommended because the one you purchased runs hot? How about some useful info like the actual one you purchased so people know which one to avoid rather than painting all similar products with the same brush._______________

Under what kind of scenarios are ppl using this for? If I was not going to be home for awhile, I would have my car charger or bring a charger with me. Eventually I am going to be at an outlet.
