Any one heard of this "Coldgate"?
Where the iphone x doesn't function properly in cold weather?
Great timing on Apple's part of releasing it while winter is going on.
Alot of RMA'ing going on a week after it's release is quite bad.

Calgary/Vancouver
Haven't experienced it yet, but going to try to use it more in the cold since I'm in Toronto right now as it'll probably never show symptoms in Vancouver weather.
Current Fido customer.
Ex Koodo customer. Beware of their tactics.

Whenever someone creates/invokes the gate moniker I immediately stop paying attention.

Do it and let us know of your own findings/experiences.
Hopefully with some screenshots so people can judge if it is a major fault in the phones for them to invoke a recall and instant trade in for a newer updated screen.

Okay about the gate thing. But it is a major fail on Apple's part to rush out the phones to keep their quota and the excitement in a trade off for customer quality known by it's brand.

Went in store and it was $524 on a premium plus... I actually have a pretty good retention plan so I paid an extra $5 a month for premium plus vs premium due to some creative switching around.. means that I'm paying $5 * 24 = $120 over the term for $200 less on the phone
Was that a 256GB for $524?

That new factory is “FOXCONN HONGFUJIN PRECISION” according to my UPS notice.

That’s a fujin cool name. And sounds like they needed to up their status level to “Precision” in order to be honoured with the X production....
Hongfujin Precision Industry Co., a subsidiary of Foxconn, is a company which manufactures Apple's iPhone 5, iPhone X, iPod as well as other products for multinational corporations. It is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, and Zhengzhou, Henan, China. Explains why a font got an address with Zhengzhou, China. Normally expect ShenZhen, their chinese head office and main plants in Guangdong province which is basically a stones throw away from HK. HK and Shenzhen border each other. Foxconn is a Taiwanese company.

Maybe, I think easier to negotiate off a non-popular phone then enact buyers remorse to swap to the X.

That's what I did to secure the X for $300 off in my renewal plus subsidy waived.

Required patience and having a spare phone to carry you over till you your X.
Did you get the extra $100 from me sending over myrogers screenshots??

Currently I have $400 stacked credits for the X 256. So right now, the cheapest I could get it is $499 + tx = $563.87. Still sucks. Manager said there's *possibility* robbers could give a huge credit for BF weekend like an extra $100-$150 more. In that case it brings the cost to $349.99 +tx = $394 is a definite buy opportunity. We'll see...

So Rogers must be making like $5 a month of profit off you. Wish I the patience to deal with all the bullshit required to get so many credits. I don’t.

I paid $1150 for my 64gb including a $220 subsidy left from my 7. I pay like $125 a month for 15gb shared data (on my main line) and have two tablets and another iPhone on the line. All in I think I pay like $270 a month with all the extra lines, Apple care, etc.

$499 for the 256gb is an f’ing $1000 subsidy. If you thiink that sucks and you can do better I really need you to do all my Rogers negotiations lol

Back in the days of SAF/GRRF, I would get $50 Good Will credits, which would mean cost of service at - $5 for my plan, so Rogers was paying me to use their service lol.

I miss those days!

I have that same 15 GB Plan with a 2 GB bonus, so 17 a month. After credits, I pay around 90ish, since I have an X and iPad Pro on Rogers and dual device protection plans, one has the bundle.

Rogers had me go into the store and show them that screenshot, which secured me an additional $100 off.

So my cost for the X was $150 from Customer Care + $100 MyRogers Profile so $250 off the X at $999. But I also had my subisidy of $400 waived from my last upgrade. So, $650ish off?
