IPOD nano - buying suggestions?
I donated my trusted 512MB SanDisk player to the black hole of TTC lost-and-found last week. Decided it's the universe telling me to buy an Ipod Nano, I'm looking at either the 4GB or 8GB model.
After buying previous player, I pretty much stopped paying attention to the overall market and product set - hence my request to the frugal experts at RFD!
Some (hopefully) Simple Questions:
-Is there a best place to buy an Ipod nano?
-Haven't seen major price fluctuations from the couple big box places I've looked (~$230 for 4GB and ~$290 for 8GB). Are there certain places that offer the best deal?
-Are there better times of year for sales?
-Is the battery life still an issue?
-What are thoughts on buying a used one? Should I avoid?
Appreciate any feedback you guys can offer,
Thx
Rich

I just bought one..
apple just had a price drop on their refurb units available at apple.ca
the best time to buy is ALWAYS right after a price drop. when they drop a price it usually means they likely releasing something new soon, but not within a few months at least, and when the new thing comes out it'll be expensive.
anyways.

Check the cases at BB and FS as well, they often have open box items in there, that have simply been opened. Got a 4gb for $185, and all was intact.
