You aren't going to find them any cheaper than what you see on the Apple website, Apple sets these prices, and you will not see a decrease for a while, as they are brand new.

Are you a student?
Well, if you're a university student then you'll get Apple student pricing. The Nano goes for $225/2GB and $279/4GB. So if you're or know somebody that go to any university, you'll be able to get it for $25 cheaper than everyone else.

Sep 20th, 2005 04:26 PM #10The connection points of the battery are soldered onto the main board, from the pictures that i've seen, so they aren't meant to be replacable. But, if you were to find a replacement battery, have good soldering skills and not afraid to fry your nano, i guess they are replaceable.

2 gig vs 4 gig depends on how much music you want to store. 2G stores about 500 songs...or less if you like classic rock like Stairway to Heaven and Freebird
Battery is Lithium-Ion I believe - 14 hours before recharge req'd.

eventhough laser engraving is free, dont go for it. It will kill your resale value,no one wants an ipod with someone else' name or comments. it will practically kill the resale value by 40%.

THe best place to resell it is eBay. You would expect around $90 for your 2GB nano, and about $115 for your 4GB nano in 1-2 years, depending on what the new ipods will feature.
