That looked like a really nice monitor until: "there is about 11 mm around the top and sides that is black and does not display anything" (customer review)

I bought the LG monitor a few weeks ago for $292 after PM. Good monitor with great viewing angles and colors! Also has all of the ports needed to connect my PS3!

What I am going to do is purchase the LG one from FS, test it, and I can always return it (within 14 days, FYI) if it doesn't work well.

Picked mine up today at FS. Tried it for few hours and I like it a lot. I used it for my photo editing and it's a big time upgrade than my stock laptop screen. The coating isn't making it grainy at all.

I was about to purchase the monitor, but upon viewing the full specifications it depicts a much slower response time of 14ms in comparison to the regular LG IPS234V model which has a response time of 5ms.
Also, the Dell U2412M is on sale for $249 although I'm unsure whether or not it's a solid deal.
