I got one for my mom when they first came out. She still loves the roomba better since it's a bit easier. This requires a bit more "fiddling" since it's not scheduled, doesn't return to a power station. You have to pull out the water tank part to fill it up and empty it out/quick rinse of it. Need to take the battery out of it to charge it.
In terms of performance it's a good device for a small/medium sized area, takes about 45min to do it's thing. Smart enough to stay off carpets. The floor is a still a little wet after it passes but usually drys up within a few minutes. (Partly because of the quick drying Clorox solution you need).
hope that helps.

decent deal. thanks, i picked one up. grabbed a 5-pack of clorox scooba too, even though it seemed a little expensive for cleaning solution.

I just bought the Shark steam cleaner for floors for $70 from CT - I'm liking it so far, and it was $30 off. You don't use anything other than distilled water in it, and you simply throw the microfiber pad into the washing machine when done. Although more work than the roomba, likely less $$$ in maintenance.
Here's a link to the product, but note that you can purchase at CT for $70 now...
