but rogers is prob the best newsgroup in the gta.
yes its slow now but retention is excellent.
if you want better - go symaptico, pricematch 3web, and get a pay service.

Which ISP offers a good newsgroup (binaries) service?
Topic says it all. I just called 3web and didn't get a good impression. I am looking to make the move from Rogers.

I was going to ask... How's the 3Web NNTP services?
e.g. any Binaries newsgroups? Retention period? Speed Caps? # of thread can be open at the same time?_______________/* My Heatware */#define BITCOUNT(x) (((BX_(x)+(BX_(x)>>4)) & 0x0F0F0F0F) % 255)
#define BX_(x) ((x) - (((x)>>1)&0x77777777) - (((x)>>2)&0x33333333) - (((x)>>3)&0x11111111))
...really weird C code to count the number of bits in a wordHacking RAID in XP

Cogeco has really redone there news server. I have had 100% completion on everything I downloaded, no use for PAR files but the retention is only a couple days, probably max 4-5. Its still good though if you get what you want quickly.

Rogers will soon(maybe already) will be removing newsgroup service.
If you really use a lot f newsgroup (binaries), go get one of those pay services. They are really worth it._______________
