itching help
in the gym ,when i start on the treadmills my body starts to itch like crazy, like tiny needles poking me everywhere, on my back, stomach, head, face and arms.
this starts to happen when i go on the treadmill or some other exercise in gym. it also happens when i'm in the store and i suddenly start to feel hot.
but when i stay longer on the treadmill or anywhere else, it goes away in like 2 mins.
I talked to many doctors, they only gave me pills and it hasnt worked yet. so i was wondering if anyone here has had a similer problem, and can help me out.
o and plese let me know where i can find the answere to this, like a forum or something.
thanks!
(o yea can this have anything to do with sweating?)

Good question, that's what I want to know; happens to me, too, the exact same thing when I am working out on a treadmill... if I scratch my skin once it starts to itch, it makes it a thousand times worse; if I grit my teeth, ignore it [yeah right, lol!] and continue on, yes, it goes away.
Interested to know what this phenomenen is!
Edited to add: I very much doubt this is to do with sweating; this happens far before I would even begin to sweat....Last edited by jory29; Mar 16th, 2005 at 11:59 PM.

dont worry, it's because the equipment was not cleaned properly.
all equipment in a gym should be cleaned using that white chalk, if not. people will get rashes.
report it to your gym owner.
And it is from sweat, other people's sweat

I have exactly the same symptom sometimes, especially when there's an obvious change in temperature: like in the winter time u walk from outside to a room, it happens mostly on my upper bodies from chest to head. Very annoying. I think it's related to dry skin, but don't count on me.

I have somewhat dry skin but I never bother with lotion and stuff. You should look into that if it keeps giving you trouble

Is it just in the winter?
Winter dryness is damn annoying!

I get the exact same thing, and only in the winter. Go shovel some snow, walk inside and BAM...needles all over my back.
It's also happened at some overly warm retail stores, and when I exert myself lightly at home.
It seems that a REAL sweat doesn't do it, but a light sweat due to a little exertion or quick change in temp really triggers it.
I would like to hear from an expert about possible cures!!!!_______________
