January and February fewer sales?

Is it just me or are these two months typically fewer in terms of sales and offers.
Perhaps, retailers knowing people are still paying off Christmas bills.
Even RFD forums feel a bit quieter.
Just my observation.

I would think that it would be the opposite... Retailers should give discounts when people are less likely to buy to incite them, no? Ah well, what do I know, I'm not a retailer!

Fewer sales, less temptation. It's a good thing.
