Jif Peanut Butter is back in Canada

Saw it in the Sobey's flyer this week - Jif is back!

On sale also - I picked up a large tub and some "Jiff to-go" packages for the road. Regular prices were significantly lower than Kraft.

See page 9 for March 24 week : http://www.sobeys.com/en/flyer/?f=789

I also posted a link to the flyer there already.
I mentioned that you really have to love Jif to pay $4.99 for 1KG when Loblaws (in the same week's sale) is selling Kraft 1KG Peanut butter for only $2.99...

I find Kraft doesn't taste as good since they switched to the creepy bears.
Or maybe that's just all in my head...
However, the Jif cups I had from catered food was really good.

I never tasted Jif but heard it's really delicious.
My Mom ate it by the bottles on it's own.
I'm sure the smooth textured one might have the hydrogenated vegetable oil and icing sugar.
I wonder if they have an equally tasting natural "healthier" one.
The ones I have bought so far have not been all that great without he hydrogenated oil and icing sugar.
I just make peanut drink with those though.

This is not the hot deals forum. I'm just pointing out Jif is back for people who like it.

I personally love Jif and have brought it back from the US many times. It's a little saltier and has a good taste. If you prefer Kraft, great.

Ya.. Nothing healthy about Jif particularly. Definitely has hydrogenated oils.

I didn't post it in the hot deals forum. I simply pointed out that both are on sale, but that you'd really have to like Jif to pay $2 more.
The missing information is what the regular price of each brand is...

This is a Food forum not a deal forum. It's to discuss food not price. I pointed out the prices I saw FYI only. I have a couple of friends that like Jif also.

I can afford an extra $1 or $2 for Jif. I like Jif. It's not crazy. I like to live luxurious and opulently.

That doesn't tell me the regular retail of the item. Is Jif normally more expensive than Kraft?

Looks like they have only regular Jif? I prefer the Simply Jif which is less sugar and salt - more peanut! Pick that up in the States from time to time, $2US for 440g.

I think it was smooth and crunch only that I saw.

You will probably never see the variety of flavors that u see in the US here.
