Ya.. Nothing healthy about Jif particularly. Definitely has hydrogenated oils.

What's your brand of choice?
Keep on mind there's no more Skippy!!
Unilever sold Skippy to Hormel and Hormel pulled out of Canada. (For Peanut butter. You can still buy other Hormel products here.)

The only other brands I see these days are no-name and Planters some places.

Planters is made by Kraft. I wondered why they are competing with themselves, then I realized it's so another competitor can't snatch up shelf space.

If Planters is made by Kraft then all the better there is a new competitor on the scene!

If the choice was between Kraft and Jif, it would be Jif every time...at least it contains some peanut oil (it's the 3rd ingredient listed). The best for you is natural peanut butter, but I still prefer the consistency of the "regular" stuff.

Very true. Kraft is using soybean oil and a bunch of other stuff in a rather long ingredient list.
We still deserve more choices on the shelf though.

Natural is my favourite. My favourite of the natural peanut butters is Adams.

& Adams is made by Smucker's, so that might be why there is no Jif Natural here. (same company)

Ya - it's like that with everything in Canada.

You go to a Walmart Superstore in the U.S. and you are blown away how many brands and varieties of everything there are. Canada gets a fraction of what is available south of us.
