Junk Yards that pay in toronto?
Hello,
I'm looking to get rid of my 92 acura vigor. this car was recently given to me but making it roadworthy and transferring ownership will cost like triple the value of the car.
The car does run and has a lot of parts that work fine. It also has two month old tires.
What do you think is the most I could get at a junk yard for this?
Or selling it as a parts car, though that might be more complicated and I'd just rather be rid of it
Thanks in advance for any info

Don't know if the engine is horizontal or vertical. It is 2.5 litre GS if that tells you anything. Outside colour is dark purple but it looks black. Inside is tan/cream colour leather

Or does anyone know about how much I could get for it as a trade in at a dealership?
The car still runs fine just has too many problems to make it legally roadworthy

Thanks Raptorfan,
Do you remember how long it took after you sent in the registration for them to get the car? On the website it says two weeks but on the phone they told me its more like a couple of days. Was that the case for you?

Here's a list of some of the problems:
O2 sensor needs to be replaced
Oil leaked into exhaust system/whole bunch of problems with a part associated with the exhaust. wires deteriorating etc.
huge crack in the winshield (i.e. window must be replaced for safety)
rear breaks are shot
spark plugs need replaced
A whole bunch of little things that were pointed out to me but I can't remember the names of the parts.
The car does run fine but needs a huge amount of repairs to bring it to safety and e-test standards. I can't do any of the repairs myself, so labour time in my case also factors into the cost. It's more time and money than I'm willing to spend, as I was looking not looking for a project car.
Are you interested in buying a project/parts car?
