Just bought a 2012 Kia Forte 5...

So i had to call the dealership today as it seemed no initiative was taken by the salesman whom I'll refrain from mentioning... I spoke finally to the sales manager for a brief moment, and he said "the car should be coming in any day now", and that it was supposed to arrive today though he hasn't seen it.

Either he's being lazy or is BSing you. If it really is on the way, they'd have the delivery date.

You should have spoke to the sales manager earlier and demanded a set date for delievery and if they fail to deliever you are free to walk away from the deal.

Not sure if you purchased or leased, but yesterday they dropped the financing rate to 0% for 60 months in addition to a $1000 rebate. Maybe you can renegotiate a lower price as consolation.

so what's the verdict? I bought my '11 Soul from Kia of Brampton.. the experience itself wasn't too bad but looking back at it, I should've went with Bolton Kia or Trento Kia due to more knowledgeable sales people.

Don't be afraid to walk from that deal.. did you even look at other cars? The Scion line for example?

I saw a Santorini Blue SX 5 speed in the showroom on Taunton East of Lakeridge Road(Oshawa Kia?) .....I like the colour, but I'd need to find somebody that wanted to swap out the leather(for the cloth + say $1000).

No i haven't walked out of the deal yet, for some reason i have some sort of hope left in that it will arrive within this week...my parents have also got a say as they too loved the car.

Looking at the contract though it says I'm paying for this walk away program, but i don't understand because the brochure they gave me says the first year of the program is complimentary...Why the hell am i paying for it now?

I might just check out other KIA dealerships this Monday, i know there is one at Warden and Sheppard. Just to look around on their lot, might motivate me to walk out of this contract.

I'm not sure if it's been 90 days yet, but if it has, I don't know why you don't walk away from this and start over. Sounds like the runaround from the dealership. You got a perfect out here if they have failed to make delivery. I wish I was in your shoes because I would take great satisfaction from going into a dealer and saying thanks but no thanks. They would hold you to your end of the contract, you can be sure of that. Must be many Kia dealerships in the GTA. They don't deserve your business.

and if you goto another Kia dealership, they may give you a deal just to get the sales themselves AND tell you how to get out of that loop.. but KIA also has a 7 day no question asked return policy. I learned about this from another KIA dealership 8 days after I bought my Soul.. I was having second thoughts about getting the F5 as well.

So after a much anticipated wait of a month and a week i finally got the car guys. Received a call early Monday and after a couple of days i was able to pick it up. I cant say it was the smoothest finalizing moments, but regardless i now have the vehicle in possession and it drives great, it was at 24k which is awesome.

The Santorini Blue looks great, and because the winter has been real mild the car is just shining.

Nothing better than a new car. I know the wait was long and made even longer by uncaring dealers but, oyu got it now.
What you do now is find a dealer you like and take all your service work to them. Screw the dealer that did you wrong.

I'd get the $500 conquest discount(for moving from a Civic, I'd also get the $1500 cash discount ......

Just for comparison purposes, I just got the Kia Forte Koup EX AT for under $23,000 just under a month ago. If I remember correctly, the Forte 5 should be cheaper than the Koup.
