JVC Gummy headphone- Worth it?

I have HORRIBLE luck when it comes to finding a decent pair of earbuds. I lost my beloved pansonic earbuds in october and since then I have gone through 5 (FIVE!!!!!!) sets of headphones. I went back to panasonic..but somehow my favorite brand turned out HORRIBLE (4/5 headphones were from pana.)

So I'm looking to try another type of headphones. I've heard amazing reviews for the JVC Gummy silicon ones. I really want to try them since they are very cost effciant and judging by reviews, a decent pair.

I would love feedback about these headphones and also a great place where I can get a cheap pair. Cause my choices right now seem to be Future shop for 12$.

Well I use a pair of Sony MDR-EX71SL Fontopia Headphones, they are earbuds so they are compact, but their sound quality is superb, and not way overpriced either. They can be had for around $40-50CAD maybe if you look around. A little expensive for earbuds for normal use, but I think they are a big step up from conventional headphones. Theres also some shure earphones that are outrageously overpriced but I dont think you would be interested in those.

I have the gummy headphones and they're good, but personally they get uncomfortable after awhile.

I find sounds isolation makes a much bigger difference than better sound generation.

In fact I listen at a lower volumes now since I don't have to play over the noise.

I honestly don't want to invest that much into my headphones yet. While i love my Sandisk Mp3 player, I rather spend below 20$

I have these headphones at work and they are not bad, but like someone else stated, after awhile, they hurt your ears.

i have these gumy phones too

i think theyre great. they dont feel uncomfotable to me...maybe my ears are messed up.

i recommend them. i got them for 12.99 at futureshop. good deal IMO, cant go wrong at that price.


just dont get the white ones...they look dirty now...i think.

my only complaint is I bought the black ones and the cord is white :/

I have a black one...it's ok. I forget if it hurts or not after you use it for a long time.

I'd rather get the cheap sony one because I find that one has a better low frequency (bass) response. I lost or else I would use that one. Get it from a sony store, it's only 9.99 there I think.

The JVC purple GUMMY earphones are stickered at 5.99 The other colours are still 14.99

If you're willing to spend a bit more I think the JVC Marshmallow and the Creative EP-630 would be excellent options, far better than the gummies.

I recommend something with silicone earbuds, like the EP-630. Like Deal said, I find sound isolation greatly improves the perceived sound quality simply because it blocks out a tremendous amount of background noise.

Generally I've found if the headphones are under 15-20$, then they're not gonna be that great.

I've gone through a few of them that were in that price range, and didnt like any of them (they hurt, and their sound range was bad)

So I'd recommend spending a bit more money on some decent ones.
