Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend, then drove to the teams training facility where he was confronted by coaches & training staff. He shot himself in the head. He also had a new born baby a few weeks ago.

Sucks for the baby, but at least young enough that it won't have any memory of this.

Apparently he spoke to coach Romeo Crennel and GM Scott Pioli to thank them for having him on the team and for everything they had done for him. Then he walked away and shot himself. So it looks like he didn't have any intention of harming anyone on the team/at the stadium.

That is a bizarre and tragic situation

Ironically he was in a campus group called Male Athletes Against Violence. Allegedly, he committed the crime in front of the victim's mother and strangely went to practice and acted like nothing happened until he realized the police were coming for him.

This story is terrible and just another illustration of how selfish suicide is. Jovan took a young woman's life away from her. She had so much to live for and so much life ahead of her. He left a 2 year old girl parentless. Killing himself in front of his coach and GM has scarred those poor souls for life. On his team he leaves 52 men who are now dealing with the excruciating pain of losing a brother.

If you're dealing with mental issues GET HELP. Its not alright to take your own life because it is not an isolated incident

Taking his own life before harming others wouldn't have been bad. Killing someone else, before ending his life is vastly more sickening though.

Word is the guy had a history of violence in his College years too so there is the link to the causation.
Ironically he was in a campus group called Male Athletes Against Violence, but allegedly he was there because he had some sort of problem
of being aggressive against the women in his life.

What about growing up?
That sucks to hear.. RIP.
The Chiefs started a fund for the girl... which should help and hopefully raises enough that she won't have to worry about money. But she's still going to go through a lot of pain.
