what car?
is it a factory alarm?
Get it installed at the dealer, or if its an aftermarket alarm, scrap it and put something like a Compustar 2 way system in
Starter, Alarm and unlock/lock doors (hard to beleive your existing alarm doesnt lock and unlock the doors for you)

does your car come with factory power door locks?
if it does, then it is easier and cheaper
if what you mean is just programming the remote that already has a keyless feature then you can do it yourself, i did, it is very easy

Its possible, just find your remote(make sure you check the model number and get the correct remote) on ebay or at the dealership and program it yourself.

yes you would
you would need a modulator for the door locks
The door locks are mechanical so they do have to be in the open position in order for you to open the door
