I have not been to KFC in a while and I often find them too greasy. I like popeyes and they are almost everywhere.

infinitely better than the cheap imitation from mom eyes.
I agree. Pop eyes is the best!

Along with the chicken nazi's at chick n joy on queen st e.

Their service is sooooo bad.
They have extremely archiac rules of NO request for pieces or substitutions... not even with an up charge. Its just take whatever you want... you cant even add the buck or two most places charge when you want white meat.
They blatantly avoid phone calls during the lunch and dinner rush.

But their prices are CHEAP and chicken is delicious...
Even the fries, gravy and salad are good.
So i accept the abuse and bite my tongue. Lol

. Surprised KFC messed with their chicken pieces model as opposed to buying out of province or USA/Brazil/China.
Chicken supply is controlled by government marketing boards in Canada. There are high tarriff barriers and you cannot just import chickens (or eggs or milk or cheese ....) without approval. Canada's barriers to these products is one of the things the Americana are complaining about in the current Free Trade negotiations.

For people near Etobicoke, go to Woodbine racetrack when they have live horse racing. The fried chicken there is absolutely incredible. Can get spicy too! Beats Popeyes/KFC hands down

I haven't had KFC in many moons and just had it on the weekend. They were out of drumsticks and asked if they could give me two thighs instead. I was like "sure!" as the thighs are usually pretty meaty and juicy. I got two weird-looking pieces instead. :(

Got a 4 piece meal last month. Paid close to $10 which didn't seem so bad until I opened the box and took out the fries.

That pathetic looking thing in the middle is actually the thigh piece.
I think I am done with KFC for a while unless I am visiting the US.

Yes, unfortunately, KFC Canada has ruined the Colonel's chicken. It used to be spicy and breaded and tasty.

Now it's bland and barely any breading, and also they have cut the whole chicken they use in 12 pieces rather than 9, like they used to.

PLUS they raised their prices.

So not only did they give you MUCH less, but they also RAISED the prices.

Last time I had it, many months ago, I threw the chicken out. It was disgusting.

The breast piece is now half the size and they removed the cartilage to cut it in half.

What are they thinking? I know several people, including me, who refuse to buy KFC now. It's ruined.

I was vacationing in Turks and Caicos not too long ago and was told they once had a KFC there years before. Was told the reason it didn't stay in business was they couldn't keep a consistent chicken supply. They would even substitute chicken with conch. I had a 3 piece combo similar to yours. My jaw dropped when I saw how small the pieces were. I took a photo with their plastic fork beside the thigh for comparison. Emailed KFC Canada with the photo attached and they mailed me a $10 gift card. You should do the same.

Yes you are correct but every now and again I have it and it's tasty and delicious.

Personally I think often you get chicken that has been sitting for too long - not fresh. The spice in KFC dulls when it cools IMO.
