They should now call it Triple Tuesday.

The last time I had Toonie Tuesday was in 2000 back when it was an actual toonie.

I understand that costs are going up and up, but KFC really should be able to make Toonie Tuesday $2 and keep it there. I mean McDonald's has had no problem keeping the $1.39 menu items. If they cant do that, then KFC should really call it Terrific Tuesday Deals since $2 became $2.22 then $2.49 later $2.69 eventually $2.79 and now $2.99 and at this rate we could see $3.19 by 2014 for crying out loud!

Exactly. I HATE misnomers. KFC should stop calling it freaking Toonie Tuesday. It's false advertising!

KFC should close. I can't believe that people still eat there.

I remember back in the late 90's when 20 Timbits at Tim Hortons were exactly $2... they had a big promotion for it. Now its $1.99+tax for 10 Timbits.

This Toonie Tuesday business at KFC is a joke of a promotion if they're charging $2.99. I haven't been there in years but they must be desperate to keep that promotion going.

I remember back in the 90's when that huge campaign was going on about Timbits being $2 for 20 and then a few years ago I saw them being $1.99+tax for 10 and being insulted.

do they still allow you to substitute for extra-crispy skin?

well, this was definitely inevitable and should come to no surprise, like it or not

what i really miss is that adding an extra piece of chicken now bumps it over 3.99 and there'll be an extra tax, guess I'll stick with 2 pieces

i wouldn't mind the triple tuesday idea and have 3 pieces + fries for 3.99, as long as the third piece can be a thigh (wings and drumstick suck)

They are closing pretty rapidly here in Ottawa.

Remember when a 24 pack of coke was $5.99 and would go on sale for $4.99 sometimes. Now a 12 pack is $5+ when not on sale.

Despite the price increase, you will continue to see people line up at KFC on Tuesday. I only go to KFC on Tuesdays, so I am not sure if its a good promotion still on their part.

In the past, KFC would include thigh & drumstick, small fries with caesar or coleslaw salad in their toonie tuesday specials. Now, it's just the thigh and drumstick with small fries, no salad. Plus, the price keeps increasing.

Sad to realize this but I think I'd rather switch over to Popeye's. Though I hate Popeye's sporks.
Can't they just give me proper eating utensils?
