Kids BirthCert for passports

I was told you need the long version can someone comfirm this please
I have the smaller wallet ones for them has anyone been able to use these ones

We applied for a passport for one of our kids last week, and the wallet size birth certificate was fine.

BTW, even though you can't use the online process for a child's passport, if you're also taking in adult passport applications that have been completed online then you can take the 'express lane' at the passport office. It can save a lot of time, depending on how many poor souls are there waiting for their turns.
