Kijiji Daily Deals and TeamSave

I found out today, after emailing the two sites on unrelated questions, that they are related (the authomated email response I got was signed "KijijiDeals.ca, powered by TeamSave").

I wonder how many of these other deal sites share common ownership, or have contracted out to a third-party?

Yeah, it has always been clear to me from launch that Kijiji is powered by Teamsave. I think it even says so on the tagline. There is a few others too, I think one called "CaptainSave" or something that is more in the Halton area.

Teamsave came into the market with the position of running a group buy site, but to be a platform for other sites to use their technology to create their own deals/businesses. Kijiji deals would be its own company that uses the Team Save platform to facilitate the tech side of the deal.
