Do you know what's been added to the director's cut? I saw the original and wasn't exactly impressed - it felt like a *lot* had been cut out, and the whole thing just felt unsatisfactory. Maybe the DC will improve on the original. Now, where's our director's cut of Bladerunner?![]()

Feb 11th, 2006 03:08 PM #3A lot of scenes involving character developments had been cut, so those are what have been restored.

Feb 11th, 2006 04:28 PM #5there is about 45mins added. As been mentioned BR is already out, new disc (which has been in limbo forever) *should* be out by the end of the year, atleast thats what the studio is hoping for. Dune was just released.

I guess the director isn't that happy with the extened edition, I think all the best versions are non-region 1's.Last edited by Ojam; Feb 11th, 2006 at 04:33 PM.

Feb 11th, 2006 06:05 PM #8No, he basically washed his hands of the whole film and wished that it had never been made. Not that it really matters - the book is far, far superior to any film version thus far (haven't seen this new DVD version).

This movie didn't do anything for me at all. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood when I was watching it.
In regards to the new version of Dune DVD, I haven't watched all of it yet but I really dislike how they changed the narration from the Princess to some dude.
