Personally I'm more of a pho guy since I feel that is more bang for your buck. But from time to time I can appreciate a nice bowl of ramen.

depends where you went. Quality between restaurants varies greatly but I'd put Kinton in top 5 in the City

Ive seen lines almost as long as when mandarin has their Canada day free meal.
Never heard of that before. It happens yearly right on Canada Day or did they stop doing that?

Agreed. Kinton was the first to arrive. Don't get me wrong, they are ok, but just ok. Broth is so so only.

Thumbs up for Santouka, Raijin and Ryus noodle bar ......much better broth

Meh I went once on Bishop, it was passable but certainly not the best in the city. I guess it might be good for a restaurant in Toronto though.

I think they killed that offer. I drove past a Mandarin in Mississauga last year and there was about 5-6 people camped out in tents out front. I went over to ask what was going on and as soon as I got to the campers the manager came outside and told everyone that they no longer did the Canada day deal and all of them would have to pay full price. iIRC, most of the campers just packed up and left after having spent the night outside of the restaurant.
Please hammer, don't hoard 'em.

They still do it every year. They celebrate Canada Day by giving people one free meal. The ads might go up shortly for it.

I'm looking forward to this. Thanks for the post!
Please report which time of the date and how long you waited, lol

I don't have patience to wait anything over half hour to get a seat for a meal, especially for ramen. lol

Sansotei baby, best in the city! Their Tonkotsu Black ramen is sooooo good.
