Took a dif route.
Lowes has this on at $898 so I pm'ed w/ local(and closer) FS.
Few cust reviews out there, but I seem to remember hearing KA had dropped there manf. standards of late.To that end,the door hinge is supported by a string, not spring...hopefully not indicative of the overall build.
Apparently,it is v quiet and cleans well. If I could have found a reasonable Bosch, then gettyup, but that would have meant a trip to US and resulting warranty/ulc/csa hassles.
Anyway, fingers crossed(and Sears has dropped their price to 1299 fyi)

KitchenAid Architect Dishwasher - 884 PM
Saw a great PM opportunity for a new model KitchenAid Dishwasher Model
KUDM03FTSS http://www.kitchenaid.ca/en/Products/KUDM03FTSS.html
Sears has it for Reg 1599
http://www.sears.ca/gp/product/B001A...577374-1522032
Futureshop has it on sale from 1499 to 999 plus save the gst = 949
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...49&catid=19511
Sears will price match and beat competitors with 10% of the difference.
So 1599 - 949 = 649 @10% = $65
So the total should be $884

i just went to sears southgate in edmonton and they still had it for $1599. they didnt have it on the floor so i asked the lady to look it up.
anyways, i printed out futureshop's canada day sale online price of $807.49 and she price matched with no problems.
so, 1599.99 - 807.49 = 792.50
final price= 807.49 - 79.25 = 728.24 plus gst
great deal and perfect timing since our dishwasher just died. thanks OP.

Wow,FS dropped their price to $807?! Appears to be down at the website, must have sold out?I wonder if they'd still reduce my bill from 898?
Had to get the FS guy to call Lowes,Sherrif.
Architect beacuase of the seamless apearance I believe and the only few reviews I found were at bestbuy.com(good) anda few on slightly different model #(mixed-good)
Wife's friend has a 2 y.o KA and loves it..." super quiet, good cleaner".Now if it stays reliable.......

Saw it last nite myself - but cant anymore! Any ideas/suggestions - if not guess will settle for what I got! But being RFD - every $ counts - LOL

if FS's price is back up on this to $1499, then PM with LOWES and get 10% off the diff with the LOWES price at FS...
just a thought...
maybe not quite as good a deal, but still decent.
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...37&catid=19511
1699 for this now at FS, if the Lowes one is 898 = a decent savings with the 10%!
Make sure it's the same model, as I couldn't find the lowes one online...
but the sears pic looks the same as this one for $1529 now.
and if you can wait until July 20th here is a Futureshop notice!!!
NOTICE TO ONTARIO CUSTOMERS - From July 20th 2007, the sale and delivery of certain household products listed at the time of purchase as ENERGY STAR qualified by the Office of Energy Efficiency, Natural Resources Canada will be exempt from Ontario PST. I have the previous model to this one (SS interior, 3 racks, all the same cycles except the new steam wash).
Very quiet, on par with a Bosch models and just slightly nosier than a Miele. Washes well, but I think it takes a little longer (10-15 minutes), then the German unit one.
Only dislikes, the material used for the racks could be better (compared to the $2k Bosch and Mieles) and the layout of the rack dividers/pins aren't as flexible as you might think.
