This is a great camera and the 720p 30 fps movie mode is a bonus. Really nice 3 " screen. Very happy with it.
PS. I also own a Canon Rebel XT

thanks OP
nice for somebody who needs basic DC which can take nice pic in good light:
CNET Asia has reviewed the Kodak EasyShare M1033 and they write -
“The good: Brilliant color reproduction, HD video capture, sleek design.
The bad: Slow startup time, occasionally sluggish focusing, lack of wide-angle lens.
The bottom line: The impressive image quality tempted us to forgive the M1033 for its less-than-expected performance.”
CNET.co.uk has reviewed the Kodak EasyShare M1033 and they write -
“Full marks to Kodak for trying to bring a touch of class to the world of budget cameras with the EasyShare M1033. The metal case and large screen are pleasant surprises, while the irritating hand-holding photo modes and expensive HD dock are less so. Overall, a fine everyday camera for novices, but anyone with an itchy trigger-finger should look to spend more.”
PCMag has reviewed the Kodak EasyShare M1033 and they write -
“A very easy-to-use camera, the Kodak M1033 takes images of good quality and offers a number of excellent features, like smart capture mode and HD movie recording. While it can’t quite match the Canon SD790 IS in overall performance or the Panasonic FS20 in terms of features, as a basic camera it will please most amateur shutterbugs.”

Wow, the 720p widescreen recording is almost enough to make me buy this. We record a lot of home movies with our regular DVD cam and our 5MP Kodak camera. For 160.00 I need to give this some serious thought this evening just for the HD recording, the higher res photos are a bonus too.
Thanks OP!
