Fido/Koodo/Virgin all have these plans. The $50/$55/$60/$65 plans all come with bonus 3GB.
I think the more expensive ones might too but I haven’t been at work for like a week so I’m not 100% sure

Can confirm this applies for byod as well. Good deal given the excellent network coverage. Byod also means you can cancel anytime or upgrade since koodo keeps coming up with loyalty offers.

Plans like these is making me not wanting to give up my corp350 plans. It is 5GB/$50 for all 3 of my lines.

Not as good as the public mobile transfer promo, but still a good deal for people that missed out.

No cancellation fee if I take this and then cancel (hoping for a rogers winback offer, but if not this is a good plan until something better rolls around over the next couple years).

Yes BYOD works but seems like you have to buy new phone on tab in order to get the extra 3GB a month for 24 months. Cold deal for BYOD. So really you only get 1GB... Unless someone can confirm that otherwise.

It’s 3GB on BYOD as well. Not sure why the site says on tab.

I just switched a line to the $50 plan but I'm not seeing the bonus data. Hmm, maybe it's for new byop activations and I need to buy a SIM to get the bonus data. Oh well, it's a churner line that's getting ported out soon.

Anyone know where I can get 1gb or so of data and pay less than $40 for a new byop line?

Like someone already said, it applies to BYOD too. It is a good temporary plan until something better comes along. And it will come: the last few months the market seems to be quite "nervous".
$30 activation fee unfortunately.

Have you done it? I mean with confirmation. I just want to be sure before I can recommend it to people. Also it says no connection fee (including sim card) if ordered online.

FYI there is a $30 activation fee. $25 if you select electronic billing option.

It’s only new activations. Loyalty dept might do something on existing lines but you can’t just switch to plan and get the bonus data.

Public Mobile is $42 for unlimited province wide and text + 1GB LTE (with auto pay its $2 off, and if you refer people you save $1 every person you refer, if someone refers you before you activate, you also get $10 credit)
Canada Wide is $47

Zoomer has $36 I believe for 2 or 3GB, not a fan of Rogers service so haven’t really looked into it.

It’s $5 more for unlimited but 500 during day and unlimited after 5pm and unlimited weekends is already enough for the majority. Everyone texts or uses social media these days.

Thanks for the help. Will look for a referral code.
How long does it take for the $10 to apply?

YMMV (GTA area) - I was able to pick up a $50 BYOP plan with unlimited Canada wide-calling and 4gb (1gb + 3gb bonus) from The Mobile Shop at Heartland Loblaws a few days ago. Might be worthwhile to call them to see if the promo is still running.

If I recall correctly, new activations only but the rep seemed to be able to offer from a few carriers including Virgin and Fido and perhaps Koodo
Mobile: Rogers Wireless, Public Mobile, Fido
Credit Cards: Amex SB Plat, Amex Cobalt, Amex Aeroplan Reserve
Cashback: GCR, Topcashback
Eats: Uber, Skip, Doordash
