I have a few questions. Don't wanna flood these forums.
Koodoo isn't based on zones like mobi etc?
Koodo's whole marketing thing is that your zone is all of Canada.

If only used in Toronto, the Wind $40 plan is still better, right?

Depends how you use your phone. The data network feels congested most the time. If you just text/talk a tiny bit of data and never leave home zones, Wind beats Koodoo for sure.

I wonder if Koodo will be rolling out the LTE, since Telus does as well

They'd have to introduce LTE phones... my big knock against koodo is their weak handset selection...

I have the Koodo 2gb data plan at the moment, the speeds seem on par with other 3g networks I've used, no complaints.
Dying to jump on this new deal with my unlocked Iphone 4. As I wanted to use it for another year or so before getting a newer handset this plan saves me from jumping the gun on a 3 year contract now to get a 6gb for $60.

I'd like to make a few things clear regarding all these $65-$60 plans that have just been launched by Telus, Koodo, Bell and Rogers.
VERY few ppl will ever need 6GB of data. As most smart phone users will agree that you have to be constantly watching videos on your device to reach that kind of limit.
Also everyone here is worried about LTE but they that at present every LTE device running on near 4G speed has atrocious battery life.
The S3 has bad battery life (as is the android phone to beat in terms of perf) the iphone 4s is bad as it is on 3G speeds and you'll be lucky to get more than a day or day and a half out of your phone with using that kind of data (most 4s's last 8 hours with constant use of wifi so expect more or less the same with 3G)
Next are blackberries and even though they have good battery life they compress their data so having 6gb is again very much overkill on these smart phones.
Bottomline: If you're paying stupidly high prices on your plans previously and it makes sense to most ppl just to switch over then go for it.
But for those who have killer retentions plans dont worry about these plans. They are just more than you will ever need.
I'm happy with my 500mb of data right now and dont see a need to switch over.
Maybe in a year or two I'll need 1gb but for now its just better to pay for what you will use as opposed to paying more for what you'll never come close to using.
Just my $0.02

You're forgetting people who tether.

Well said. Most people want to get more than what is needed "just in case" which, in many cases, never arises.

Well this new Koodo plan is cheaper then what I am paying now, and I am currently getting less data. I like to have the 6gb, I had unlimited Data in the UK on 02, and I hate worrying, or thinking about it. Being able to tether to a laptop, tablet whatever is also awesome if you are out and about.

If only it offered Weekends Free then I would jump on it. You'd be surprised how quickly 250 can run you up and if it's canada wide then the risk just got higher.

The plan offers early evenings starting at 5 AND weekends?
