I think it improved the city koodo plan. Only thing now is only 50txts, but unlimited in only a $5 add on.
Decent if you must stick with the big 3

Why else would they make their plans inferior in a 'competitive' market (a very lucrative one)? Rogers, Bell and Telus always acted as though they were in cahoots. Only recently did koodo (and virgin) start to have half way decent plans. Rogers wouldn't like that since they actually raised their prices in the same period. It goes against years of apparent silent agreement not to compete.
I guess I'm a conspiracy theorist as well...the last few days has seen the end of the wide open browsing that Speakout (offshoot of Rogers) offered for $10...others were saying it's because WInd, Mobilicity etc aren't as much competition as they once were...

I was going to move to koodo, but the per minute change really frustrates me. Is there any other per-second billing provider that offers the following: minimum 100 minutes, CID, Unlim messaging (text + pics), possibly unlim at 5 or 7pm, and flex data ($5) for $35. The only viable provider is with fido, and even with them it seems impossible to get those for under $35.

If only I could do with the aws providers, they dont have coverage at my school
I've been visiting my local wind store and asking if they had coverage at sfu burnaby, to which they all doubted.

I am currently using the old 50 minutes 15$ plan they offered. I have had my phone for a month now, and it's my first phone ever. I wanted to keep the plan for a few months, just to know what my minutes and messaging needs actually were. Now I see that 50 minutes is very fine for me (with per second billing, as I'm not much of a talker), but I would like to take the unlimited texting. I was also planning on getting CID/VM in the summer, as I'm gonna need it then.
Do you think I could talk them into letting me keep the plan I have (including the per second billing), and just add the CID/VM/unlimited texting 10$ add-on they USED TO offer, or they will not let me? Considering we don't have a yearly contract, are they the kind of providers we can deal with? I'm even willing to add the flexible 5$ data plan if they could give me the add-on I want (I was planning on getting it sooner or later).
Thanks for info

^ ifilgoodx, I think the old CD/VM addon is still available for old plans. I believe Koodo plans don't change unless you make a change yourself. I've been using them for 6 months and that's how it's been like.

I'm with Koodo for only a couple of weeks and I was just recommending them for lots of people who are in the market for a new carrier. Not anymore

what I mean is, there was:
- a Unlimited Texting addon, 5$
- a voicemail addon, 7$
- a caller ID addon, 7$
- or all three for 10$
but that last combo actually disappeared. so unless I change plan (I wish not), I am going to pay more by combining just two of the three than if I took all three when the combo was still offered. see the difference?
anyway Imma call them tomorrow and make 'em an offer they can't refuse
