Folks - felt the need to jump in and clarify things.
There is no such plan as the one suggested by the OP, so there's no point in calling in.

Do you work for Koodo? Interesting that you'd create a new account just to post that.
The funny part is that if he does work for them he should know better. It's not a specific plan, on that he is correct. It is a plan plus a number of loyalty addons, some of which are free or almost free. It's like saying someone's plan doesn't exist when it is made up of a plan plus credits. It's meant to be misleading.

I do, and I had to create an account in order to post. Should I have done something differently/is that bad etiquette?
So, are you saying the $48/5GB loyalty plan that so many people have doesn't exist? Or that loyalty dept doesn't have loyalty addons that they apply on top of plans?

As a Koodo employee, does this look like proof there is options to get us to that "plan".

So then your very first point was meant to intentionally mislead?

I believe this is a common industry (telecommunications, cable) setup.

Plan selection menu is tied to the employee's 'authorization' level. Don't think this is the right term. Retention folks have exclusive plans/add-ons that in-store and call center would not have access to. Sometimes call center has more than in-store sales.

Does anyone know when the $49 plan with QC number will be over. My cousin is in the process but his new billing date starts September 1

Seems it ha expired. I tried my best with retention and no dice. I have been with Koodo for a whopping 9 years! Best was a 55$ 4GB plan. Ah well hopefully they will have another promo I can sign up for soon

Politeness is definitely key. I picked up a Koodo sim & the $48/5GB plan (in Saskatchewan) approximately 10 ten days ago so that I would have data while camping. Have been with Rogers for a long time (a heritage plan that originally cost me $13 for 300 minutes, no data, but free evening/weekends/texting with a $7 add on for call display & voicemail). Over last couple of years, Rogers has kept increasing the costs of my plan (now $18 & $9 for $27 vs original $20) so I have been watching deals for awhile so I can give Rogers the boot.

The week of camping with service was nice (past camping trips typically Rogers had poor service & signal, if any, plus they hosed me on the few brief calls I made, classifying it as long distance). After the week was up, my intention was to close Koodo account until something good came up but after reading this thread, I decided to try calling Koodo to see what they would offer me to stay.

My call lasted about two hours (90% on hold) but both reps I dealt with were extremely pleasant. For $5 more, I received all I had plus 50 extra daytime minutes, a longer night/weekend calling time frame, 100mb data, & best of all Canada wide calling instead of local only. Added bonus is I don't have to navigate Rogers difficult website, deal with painful calls, or spotty reception/coverage anymore.

Now to wait for the $38/5GB or better plan to come around again...

Congrats are in order. I am in ON so I don't qualify for that plan. Amazing what even a little competition can bring on the Cellphone providers to offer.

ON residents are able to get that plan. There is a thread active in Hot Deals related to that plan.
