Is my math right here? Seems more of a warm deal than hot for my circumstances.

Current plan: 55$ 5GB deal from years ago with no-tab 10% discount

Scenario 1: No change
(55.00 - 5.50 discount) * 24 months * 1.13 (ON HST) = $1,342.44

Scenario 2: Upgrade to Pixel 2XL on Med Tab (lose the no-tab 10% discount)
(55.00 + 15.00 med tab)* 24 months * 1.13 (ON HST) = $1,898.40

So I'm effectively paying $555.96 over 2 years for an already-2-years-old phone? I feel like it's a better idea to just go find another phone and buy it outright for $560 rather than jump through these hoops.

5 business days
So let's say you order this online, and it arrives in 5 business days. Does the activation date start on the day of arrival or the day of shipment?

Because I wanted to get this and obviously do the "regular" things after I receive it, but don't know how many days I will get charged for?

awesome...i can't pay off my tab even though i've been with koodo for 5 months. the rep said i have to wait three months after each upgrade even though i may be with koodo for more than 3 months as a customer.
this is a problem for me because i'm now regretting buying p250 and want to go for pixel lol. i have to have my android rooted and i found out you cant root the huawei anymore.

just an fyi for others as i've read mixed things on this forum about this topic.

You're being a bit dramatic with the "2 year old" bit. It was introduced 15 months ago and has received several software updates.
The same cannot be said about every other android/low cost device out there.
