[Koodo] Koodo $45 for 8 GB (Manitoba Only)

Great deal for us Manitobans or for those of you who can find other ways to access our plans. It seems like it's available with BYOD or with any tab added.

Better off just going with QC plans, MB/SK are not impossible but much more difficult.

I'm pretty sure you would need to open a new line and go through the process again to get this offer. To keep the same number, I believe you will need to port your existing number to a pre-paid account and port it back to the new line. I have never tried it before, but I believe that this is possible by adding a new line and porting.

That's the process I went through to get the $48/5GB plan originally. Almost switched to the $60/10GB plan over the holidays but the $10/1GB overage on the $48 plan is what keeps me here because; rarely do I use more than 5GB, but the extra $10 occasionally is NBD.

$45 for 8GB, however, has me thinking about doing this again...

Yea, the overage fees on the $60/10 GB is insanely high compared to the $10/1GB on your $48 plan. Are you in Ontario? Was the process to get the MB plan different than the QC loophole?

Sorry, I can't remember what 'loophole' I used, it was like 3 years ago. I honestly just went into a Walmart and asked for a SK/MB phone number and it was easy as that. Then I ported my ON number in when I got home.

Oh I see. That was nice and easy for you back then! I imagine it would be the same as the QC loophole where you need to change your assigned number to the MB/QC number on self-serve (track your repair back door link). I tried asking a Best Buy to give me a QC number (i'm in Ontario) and they wouldn't do it. This was last December but have since changed it to $60/10 GB plan.

wow......wish we have this in Ontario
You technically can try to get it if you are willing to do the QC way. Instead of picking a QC number, pick a MB number. Let us know how it goes! Smiling Face With Open Mouth
