Up until now GCs have always been clawed back, do your research. So far, apart from wording changes, we have no info that would indicate that GCs aren't clawed back anymore

@Viper98 , when you have a moment, could you double check your contract to see if the 90 day gift wording has been removed or not? I'd love to be able to clarify once and for all if this is something that actually changed, or just misinformation from somebody in one of the other threads.

LG phones are terrible. Not a single ROM update in a year.

Is the warranty on these with koodo or LG. If you cancel the contract and in 6 months have an issue, do you have to send it to Lg?

I have the black G6 from Koodo which also says on the box that it's unlocked. When I check the Network Lock from the service menu I get the same "This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked" message. But when I put a Bell SIM without service into the phone it connects to the Bell network and tells me that it has no service plan attached. No challenge to network unlock the phone so it does appear to be unlocked out of the box.
My wife has the silver G6 from Koodo and it does not say unlocked on the box. Maybe once she gets home I'll check her phone as well and see if it challenges me for a network unlock code.
It would not surprise me if carriers are starting to just buy unlocked inventory since the CRTC is going to force them to sell unlocked phones as of December 1, 2017.

Question to all,
Im currently with Koodo (number #A) and paid off my tab. Can i open a new line (number #B) on the same account and then port my current number(#A) to the new line (#B)?
Would this work to keep the new referral credit and gc?
Thanks

Yes it would but you'd have to pay the ridiculously priced plan of $95 per month (74 + 21 Tab).
