[Koodo] LG V30 - $100 on Tab Medium ($360 on tab). Hot?

Saw there was a thread for this phone for Fido users, but this seems to be a much better deal if what I've read is true ($99 upfront on medium tab, $1000 remaining with Fido). So total for the Koodo deal on a small or medium tab would be $460.

Edit: Should mention it says "online only" on their site.

It woks on my 10GB/$60.00 BYOP. Last time I was on the phone with a rep, she advised that any 10GB $60.00 can be converted to a medium tab plan, but we have to call in for them to make the switch.
Wish this deal was for the Pixel 2 XL

Thanks OP

An you can probably get some sort of gift card at Walmart, Bestbuy or Wow mobile to sweeten the deal.

Too bad it doesn't have removable battery like V20 does but still good deal.

Anybody hesitating on a LG phone can consider getting the Huawei P20 pro for $350 on a medium tab. Also have a $50 one time bill credit. Better phone with the best camera. LG g7 sounds good so but beware from other LG customers experiences from this thread. Get the Huawei.

Update: Cannot use the $40 6gb plan I have from migrating from PM. Has to be at least $45/month on medium tab.

How do you get the $50 bill credit? And if I am just planning to cancel after getting the phone do you have to keep services for a period of time to get it?

I guess first bill credit I'm assuming. Not familiar with the Koodo loophole.

90 days minimum, and the $50 credit is displayed above the image of the phone in the "shop".

Ok thanks, when I view the Shop in ON I don't see the $50 banner for the V30 or the P20 Pro. Must be province specific.

Huawei P20 pro... Sorry to hijack the thread. Won't work.
Now medium tab for me is $45/month before I could use my $40/month 6gb plan. Yayyyy I logged out and now it works.

Anything new should be unlocked since late last year. But even if they aren't, Koodo has an easy way to request the free unlock code through their website.

Is it still possible to cancel and pay off the tab right away when receiving the phone? Thus I would only pay the upfront device cost and the remaining tab balance? Just making sure nothing has changed in their policies recently.

I don't know about outright cancelling, but I tried to pay off my tab (while keeping the plan) and it told me I had to wait 90 days. Isn't that what the "seasonal hold" thing was all about?

$660 for the Huawei P20 Pro seems pricey compared to $410 for the LG V30...
Always buy now & think later, or else you'll regret your decision forever.

Much better specs and more recent model. Triple camera is very tempting...
