I’m in the same position as the poster above. Was able to obtain Quebec phone number and plan over the phone, but system doesn’t let me port with a quick flash saying can’t change your number for 90 days. And my billing cycle goes into December. I want to know for sure that I can port in before I activate and start using my phone... otherwise I will return it and just cancel this whole thing without incurring any fees. Seems like they are changing things but has Anyone gone through this or has any details?

So I read the instructions in the thread and Howard forums and bought myself a post paid Koodo SIM from BB.

Tried to get a QC # but they asked me for a QC address on ID. So I went online at activateprepaidDOTkoodomobile.com but the SIM # "is not valid".

Please advise, I'm confused on the whole port in-out process. Is there any way to proceed online or I need to go to a Koodo kiosk? If it helps, I'm in AB and already a Koodo customer(2 lines, 1 is on large tab).

Same for me. Maybe they finally closed the loophole unless someone has a workaround?

Thank you for taking the time to reply just to make fun of me. I'm clearly doing something wrong, that's why I asked for help.

i was able to get ON # changed to qc# and QC 5+1GB plan a couple hours ago with a representative on the phone. but then when i log in to 'transfer number' just now. a quick flash of some text on the old self serve page. ( i hit stop right away as soon as it was disappearing)

and it reads in yellow " We are unable to complete your request at this time. Phone number changes can only be completed once every 90 days through your online account." has anyone else seen this??

any help is appreciated. i need to port my ON # over. to wait 90 days is not going to work thats 3 months of extra bills.
Did customer service refuse to grant you QC #? what did you have to tell them to give you QC #?

I called customer service but to switch from ON# to QC#, They are asking for QC Address and they will charge $10 for this change.
If I wait, my billing cycle is 22 Nov :(

Anyone can help me here?

Looks like they closed it. Since it says if you are moving to another province and want to change phone # call them.

I think they have not closed it. Just made it harder for someone to change.
Found a guy on kijiji who still claims he can change it for $50 service.

I got a QC number which I switched from ON number right on time last week and waiting for my new bill cycle to start. Do you guys think I will be able to port in my old number?

Does the pre-paid loophole still work i.e.

1. Get a pre-paid SIM and activate it to get a Quebec phone #
2. Register for a post-paid plan with an in-province
3. Register for Self-Serve
4. Port the pre-paid SIM (QC#) to the post-paid via Self-Serve
5. Change the plan (you'll have to wait for the first billing cycle to change the plan, according to the instructions)

looks like porting is an issue too
