You can try this site.
I believe you send them you IMEI number, and they send you an unlock code afterward.
You reach that unlock code screen by inserting a sim card from another carrier.

if you have to pay 150 + 150 tab + 20 service - 100 GC = this deal is cold > warm at best = in the end you'd have to pay $220 plus taxes. might as well save another $100 and get the nexus 4!!!

"Cold"? You don't know the prices of phones... this is still a great deal, just not as hot as before, but still great. Try to get something else just as good in the same price range. Nexus 4 is still $100 more, and I don't want to spend 1/3rd more on a phone.

I don't think the S3 would be much more than $300, with the S4 coming out in the 1st quarter of 2013. One can hope.

Speculation has suggested that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S4 during February 2013 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with a global launch due to follow a month later in March.

That is still 5 months away from availability. The S3 can't drop in price that fast and not while it is the Samsung flagship.

There should be no difference, both are the GSIIx model. In this case, Walmart is selling hardware as an agent/reseller to the Koodoo network. Companies like Walmart, BestBuy, etc obtain and offer the hardware at a deep discount to profit from the commission they make signing you to a plan from either of the mobile networks.
