Kylie Minogue vs Madonna -- which overall artist do you prefer?

Kylie Minogue is a small footnote in music, Madonna is the biggest female musician of all time(maybe the last 30 years)....although it's time she started acting her age!

I think madonna definitely. Because she is more powerful woman and have good performance as artist and have multi talent. She has always been consistent all the way through her career who can exist in hollywood in long.

Kylie was famous as a child actress in a TV show before she started her music career, so I don't think Madonna has anything over her in that regard. In fact, Kylie is probably a better actress, but I'll leave that to the critics .

Madonna's creativity was to take other people's ideas and exploit them (vogueing being the most obvious). She was really good at it, though.

Kylie wasn't so popular here, but was outside of North America. Kylie sure has aged better than Madonna.

AGreed. Anytime Kylie's name came up it's usually from sources like BBC or some other European news outlet. I think the same could be said about Madonna but early in her career, her name was synonymous with Pop Charts Hits and I would even go as far as to say, she was the female equivalent of Michael Jackson in her prime.

Is Kylie in her 50s? She does look great though.

A little anecdote. I confused Kylie with Natalie Imbruglia for a while. I guess it comes with the territory because they're both Australian.

Hotness..yeah that's pretty subjective. I thought she looked great as a 'punk' girl in her 80s which would put her in her early 20s. Frizzy blond hair, fishnet stockings and top, way, way too much make-up and attitude. Sadly, she's lost all the attractive qualities and kept the bad one.

Kylie is sooo much hotter than Madonna. And the guy saying she's a footnote in music is ignorant. She's had limited success in NA but globally she is one of the highest selling female artists.
Kylie's newest video = her friggin hot as always.

I'd say it's quite a fact. The average person does not know who Kylie Minogue is. Whereas everybody knows who Madonna is. Madonna has accomplished more in her career than Kylie ever will. 60M in record sales is a footnote compared to 300M, but that's subjective.

I'm pretty sure whoever voted on the poll voted Kylie on the basis that she's hotter, however as a musical icon, it's an undisputed fact that Madonna is a legend. It is just laughable to call Kylie that.
