L1/R1 vs. L2/R2

I'm happy to admit, after a long resistance, that I have officially embraced the R2/L2 shooting mechanism that many games began using a few years ago on the PS4. Although I was used to L1/R1 on basically everything, with Uncharted 4, I played the whole thing without activating shoulder swap and I couldn't be happier.

Have you switched? Or still old school?

Most PS4 games give the option to swap which shoulder triggers are used for firing. I use whichever the default game controls are.

Still doesn't feel as good as with the Xbox controller.

They definitely do, likely because the PS3 used L1/R1 almost always! I think R2/L2 is a better combo, I'm actually surprised they didn't do R2/L2 earlier.

Ah yes, I've heard that the xbox controller is better than the PS4 dualshock for shooters....never tried it though.

I used the triggers for xbox 360 and L1/R1 for ps3. This is preference like how one prefers their partners to have short hair than long hair.

Or no hair at all... oh wait, it's not that kind of hair you're talking about ;)

Xbox One controller is really good, and PS4 is not bad also but not as good for shooters

still better than the outdated 360/PS3 controllers, or the ones that came before that

you can definitely feel the improvements

But no matter how good the xbox controllers are, it's hard to beat a mouse and keyboard for shooters.

That's because developers recognized that the L2/R2 on PS3 (DualShock 3) were HORRIBLE.
Rock it.

The only controls I ever switch from default are INVERT Y. If the game comes with INVERT Y as the default setup, it gets an extra kudo from me.
