He's not even close to Jim Brown IMO.
Brown's " career " yards per carry is 5.2 - Tomlinson has only done that (i.e above 5 ) in 2 seasons out of 6 ....and Brown averaged over 100 yards per game for his career......not Tomlinson. Brown was also in the Pro Bowl for all 9 years he played ......Tomlinson only 3 out of 6. Also, Brown only played 12 games a year for his first 4 years - Tomlinson had a 16 game schedule to do it in... to get 1,000 yards.
Nice try though

LaDainian Tomlinson Greatest RB?
DENVER (AP) -- For once, LaDainian Tomlinson was relevant in the Mile High City.
San Diego's remarkable running back scored four times and reached 100 touchdowns faster than any player in NFL history Sunday night, leading the Chargers past the Denver Broncos 35-27.
Tomlinson, who has scored an NFL-record 19 touchdowns in his last six games, reached 100 TDs in his 89th game, four fewer than it took Hall of Famer Jim Brown and Emmitt Smith. He now has 102 TDs and also topped 1,000 yards rushing for the sixth straight season.

Tomlinson isn't the greatest RB yet but he is still young and has a lot of playing time left so most likely he will be one of the greatest RBs by the time he retires.

As long as he stays healthy, who knows where he can go.
Nice to see a good RB. I haven't been excited about a RB since Barry retired.

Of course he's not the greatest of all time, but he is certainly off to the best start of all time. If he can sustain his numbers for a reasonably long career (highly unlikely) then he would definitely be in consideration. Very few players can be in contention for "greatest ever" until their career is done. You never know how people go out...

LT hype will all go away in 2 weeks if he doesnt perform amazing. This seasons been really weird. First 6 weeks, eagles were the team to beat in the NFC, now theyre almost like a free win.

Best RB of all time is without a doubt Barry Sanders. It hurst my ankles just watchin him deke guys out. I cant believe Emmitt Smith is even in this conversation though. He's not in the top 10 IMO. His stats are so inflated. Heck, I put LT ahead of Emmitt already.

LT is the best? Running backs come and go nowadays, Remember a few years ago with Priest Holmes was the top RB when he broke the rushing record? He's gone now, Jamal Lewis was the top RB a few years ago as well, now hes garbage. Jerome Bettis? Shaun Alexander? Curtis Martin? If he's still playing this way in 3 years, then yeah you can compare him.

RBs have the shortest career span cuz of the pounding that they take. If you got 10 good years in you, that's a hall of fame career. If LT continues on this pace, or close to it at least, for another 4 years, then you have to say he's in the top five of all time. But right now, he's the ultimate RB out there, and helping my fantasy team kick some serious butt!

Barry Sanders in my mind is the best RB....LT is more of a versatile back but man could Barry just bust up people...he had 10 seasons straight of 1000 yards...and the thing is you knew detroit didn't pass well so they would always line up 9 men in the box..yet Barry would still break off runs of 80 yards i think if you talk to a lot of players they will tell you they do not want to get in the open field trying to tackle Barry....remember what he did to Rod woodson...woodson had to retire from CB to a safety because Barry blew out his knee on a move that made woodson cringe ...
