Landlord Question - Tenant Work Visa

Need some assistance / advise. Are there any potential issues renting to somebody on a work visa from England? Extra problems due to the temporary status in Canada tied to a job? Looking for a minimum 1 year term and potential tenant has 1.5 years on visa.

Thanks in advance

If nothing else, you've got a prospective tenant who at the end of the term, may care very little about their credit rating or landlord reference... Having said that, problem Canadian tenants just know how to work the system... :)

Thanks that’s definitely something to think about. I believe in this case the prospective tenant is looking to stay in Canada long term but who knows what happens at the end of the current visa....

I would look it at as you've got a potential tenant with a job!

If you are looking for a reason to not rent to someone, you'll probably always find something ...

Ask for Credit report from the UK and base your decision on that. British credit history, past job history, field of work etc should be decent pointers.
